easyHotel to open in Austria

easyHotel.com, the super-budget hotel pioneers, continues to consolidate its plans to become Europe’s leading ‘super budget’ hotel operator following the signing of a Master Franchise Agreement with P_Orange GmbH. The agreement will see the brand opening a minimum of three hotels across Austria over the next four years. Additionally, P_Orange will develop further opportunities in Central Europe which, should see them operate a further six easyHotel’s.

The Austrian franchise comes just four months after signing a master franchise agreement to open 10 hotels in Germany and is seen as a natural progression from that deal.

The agreement is the latest in a series, currently under negotiation, which will see easyHotel.com operating in key European city destinations as part of its strategy to sign up 60 hotels in the next three years.

Relying entirely on web bookings to generate sales, easyHotel already operates hotels in 3 London locations (Victoria, South Kensington and Earl’s Court), as well as Basel and Budapest. easyHotel Zurich will open in November this year, followed by easyHotel Luton and easyHotel London Heathrow in early 2008.
