The
defence of easyJet was served on 10 October 2008

Dear Sir Colin,
As you know the defence of easyJet was served
on 10 October 2008 and I presume filed with the
Court on the same day.
The purpose of this email is to revisit the statement
I made in my press release on the day the proceedings
were issued (15 August, 2008) which I repeat
for ease of reference:
"Given my obvious conflict I have suggested
to the board of directors of both companies that
we should all agree not to trade in the easyJet
stock until this is resolved."
Given that this offer was not accepted, in fact
it was not even acknowledged by the other directors
of easyJet, and given that the facts of the case
are now in the public domain, I think its best
that this offer is now withdrawn.
Needless to say the normal laws about acting whilst
in possession of inside information will always
apply anyway.
I still believe that a speedy judgement on this
case remains the fairest way to deal with this
issue for the sake of all stakeholders in the easy
brand.
This statement will be posted on our website www.easy.com tomorrow morning in the interest of full disclosure.
Regards
 Stelios
