easyBus launches Stansted Airport route
posted: June 7, 2007

Stelios launched the easyBus route between London and Stansted Airport today June 7th. With prices starting at £2 one way and with 40 services a day in each direction, there is no better value way of getting between central London and Stansted. This service also operates most hours of the day and night in order to fit in with the scheduled operating times of all flights in and out of Stansted.

The Stansted easyBus route is operated by the now familiar fleet of Mercedes Sprinter minibuses, wrapped in their highly distinctive orange easyBus liveries. The arrival stop in central London from Stansted Airport is in Baker Street and the return for journeys to Stansted Airport is in nearby Gloucester Place.

The minibus fleet was made distinctive on the easyBus route between central London and Luton Airport which has been operating for more than two years. Nowadays the Luton service, operated in conjunction with Greenline Coaches, has more than 60 services a day each way between Luton Airport and Victoria Coach Station in central London. On the Luton Airport route the orange liveried easyBus minibuses have made way for a mixed fleet of green liveried Greenline and orange liveried easyBus full size, 50 seat coaches.

Both services offer one way fares starting at £2 for those passengers who book online and in advance, with one-way fares rising to £7 on Stansted and £8 on Luton for last minute bookings or seats purchased at the airports. Return fares are available and are purchased as two one-way fares at the prevailing prices at the time of purchase.

"Flights to Luton and Stansted are usually great value, but onward transport can be relatively expensive," said Stelios the serial entrepreneur and founder of easyBus. "So I am delighted to be adding an easyBus service between Stansted and Central London in order to keep giving consumers great value. I hope we will launch more routes between airports and city centres in the near future," he concluded.
