easyOffice expands to offer support to more small businesses in London
posted: Feb 2, 2009
easyOffice has opened a second London site in Camden to help support the city’s small business owners and entrepreneurs by offering affordable office space in prime locations.
Following on from the overwhelming success of its first site in Kensington High Street, the new easyOffice premises offers 35 offices providing 100 workstations in the spacious and well-known Rotunda Building on Gloucester Crescent.
Already the offices have achieved 25% occupation – even though the doors have only just opened – showing high demand for the service.
The opening comes following recent calls from the Forum of Private Business for greater flexibility in commercial property contracts amid fears smaller firms will increasingly be forced to vacate premises because of rent rises or restrictive contracts.
Offices start at just £99 a week plus VAT and can be booked by the week with a credit card – meaning no fixed long-term contracts and no hefty upfront costs.
Mark Smith, CEO, easyOffice says: “easyOffice Camden is aimed specifically at smaller businesses and growth enterprises which might otherwise struggle to afford office space in such a prime location.
“Smaller businesses have been long been stifled by the prohibitively expensive rents that have become the norm in London and yet the success of these businesses can often be dependent on them having a presence in the heart of the city.”
Mark continues: “Small businesses account for around half of all UK employment and make a significant contribution to the country’s turnover. The level of impact that these organisations have on the health of our economy can often be overlooked, with headlines dominated by news of larger corporate and banks.
“easyOffice offers no frills office space which not only is affordable but also offers businesses greater flexibility because they are not tied into long term contracts. This in turn can help reduce cash flow issues.
“We firmly believe that it is smaller enterprises that will play a key role in the UK’s economic recovery and we want to offer all the assistance we can to support them through these difficult times.”
easyOffice was launched in November 2007. The first easyOffice, on Kensington High Street, has proved hugely successful, performing at 100% capacity within two months of taking its first booking.
A further site is due to open in Glasgow city centre on February 9, with Edinburgh also due in March and plans in place for locations in Bristol and Manchester.
The business operates on a franchise model. Full details of the business opportunity are available on the easyOffice.co.uk website... click HERE
